IntroductionAs a centre for hill walking Lenymede Bed and Breakfast, Callander has a lot to offer giving quick access to a number of Munros (peaks over 3,000 feet), as well as many other peaks which provide enjoyable walking and wonderful situations. The walks listed in the following pages are only offered to whet the appetite, and it is not meant to imply that walks not mentioned are in any way inferior. If you are not an experienced hill walker PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS ON SAFETY on the hills to be found on the Hill Safety Page. For a more extensive list of walks together with distances, estimated times, highest point and other information see Walk List Page. |
For details of a range of walks go to the following pages;
Since these pages use an ActiveX Control, 'Tabular Data Control', they will only work if you are using Internet Explorer 4 since the control is built in. I believe the control may be available for download but am not sure. If anyone finds it please let me know.
These database pages allow you to sort columns by clicking on their headers, filter records by inputting a criteria, and scrolling through the database record by record using standard navigation controls. If you use these database pages please let me know if they are useful and how you would like to see them changed. If sufficient interest is shown I'll add more records and more information.
The following maps are suitable for walkers and cover the areas for walks accessible from Lenymede Bed and Breakfast and Callander. The Harvey's is particularily good for Ben Vorlich since it extends to Loch Earn in the north.
